8:45a [Partial] Cast & Crew

Can't say too much on what this production was for exactly but I can say that it was a successful despite a long and packed day of shooting.

Thanks to the crew:

Sabrina Luppi, Producer for assembling a great crew together! Great time with this bunch for sure.

Jane Park, Set Stylist for being able to transform this space into a believable hotel lobby. Great minds think alike but it's your final touches that make it 100% work.

Richard Valencia, Cam Operator for being a step ahead and getting the shot that's needed.

Zackery Ramos-Taylor, PA for being able to help in all corners of the room from camera to set design.

Sharon Peng, Hair & Make-Up for always being down to work together and making our talent look great for camera.

Rease Warford, BTS Photographer for these great BTS shots [below]. You have the best camera yoga poses tho hahah

And of course to our cast:

Kristen: as mentioned, I know this video will kick start your hand modeling career in doing fake on-screen taps

Eric: you delivered salad like a pro

Rachel: loved your "dialogue" with Kristen on directing her to the cafe loll

Sejoya: yes it was cold but you braved it ;)

James: you came prepped with the luggage and book--on point sir

Kenny: I've had you behind the camera and now in front--full circle! haha

And last but not least Nick for entrusting us with your storyboard and storyline and translating it for this commercial piece. Looking forward to its release!

Onto the BTS photos by Rease [and converted to black and white by me]:

A Big Thanks to Our Bespoke Shoot Cast & Crew!

It's been a minute (ok, more like a year) since this blog has been updated. I swear there will be more content but for now, here's a BTS look at our production for Bespoke – a trifecta of coworking, demo, and event spaces in the heart of San Francisco.

But first, here's a our crew photo with the ladies of Bespoke:

Bespoke + 8:45a

Bespoke + 8:45a

We were tasked in developing their About video to allow anyone to understand who Bespoke is, who it's for, what they do, and why they matter. It's a challenging task to always take a brand/product/company and distill it down to a video.

We had a whole day to shoot at the space and were really thankful to get extras easily by asking members of Bespoke to be part of it.

Thanks to the crew:

Sabrina Luppi, Producer for creating the shooting schedule and being quick on the feet when change was inevitable.

Khoi Ly, Director of Photography for always being down to work together and working with my new gear quickly to make lighting magic :)

Kevork Demirjian, Gimbal Operator for having the ability to operate our gimbal setup nimbly and working with me through the choreography on the spot.

Silver Friedline, Gaffer for working swiftly as possible so we can quickly move from one scene to the next.

Nicole Velazco, BTS photographer for capturing candid moments throughout the day and wearing my Snap Spectacles to capture photos and video moments.

To many to list but thanks to all the extras at Bespoke to fill in the spots we needed! (There were like 40+ spots we had to fill) and of course to the staff of Bespoke for having us to produce this.

I look forward to sharing the cut!

Cheers,

Trailer: Demi the Gardener

Despite being a bit quiet on the front here, we've been busy working notably with San Francisco's Education Fund and sf.citi producing a line of videos for them. Among those videos, I finally had time to produce a trailer for a passion project I'm working on featuring a SF gardener of Cayuga Park for over 20 years, Demetrio Bracerios.

I'll be producing a small crowdfunding campaign in Q1 of 2016 in order to get the proper crew to do this project justice. If you'd like to keep up with the project, please do sign up here to get notified when it's launched!

A big thankst to everyone involved for this shoot for SF's gourmet cotton candy confectioners Sugar & Spun.  Despite it being a crowded day [SF's Pride Parade!], everyone came through and contributed to a great shoot that ran buttery smooth. And now onto my individual thanks:

James Lee (BTS Photographer): Thanks for coming through at the shoot and taking the great BTS photos that are in this post! Pleasure meeting you as well.

Hubert Lamela (BTS Video): Thanks for bringing in the new toys you brought to the shoot haha! Looking forward to seeing shots from your GoPro + Gimbal set up.

Sharon Peng (Hair/Makup): Thanks for working with our 4 models and making old and young fresh for the shoot! Always great to work with you.

Sabrina, Nate, Presley, Connie (Models): Real fun to have you all part of this shoot ranging from the fashionista, the hipster, kid, and grandma profiles to show that anyone can enjoy Sugar & Spun :) [And thank you Brianna for taking the kids out!]

Mary Pratt (Assistant): Thanks for coming through to learn from it all! Glad you had fun and definitely still weirded out how that one person pulled your photos on Instagram and Tweeted it lol

Nicole Velazco (Assistant, BTS): So glad you came--it's a plus that you like Sugar & Spun to begin with too lol Mad skills with the BTS camera without the use of a tripod for the cinemagraphs hehe

And speaking of those cinemagraphs you shot that I edited:

Sorry to do this to you but we can't fully disclose what product and company we worked with but I still want to give thanks to our cast and crew!

Darryl and Christine, Talent: Thank you for being available on such a short notice to be part of this product commercial! Darryl, great look in the PJs. Chrstine, you're a boss when it comes to yoga. You two were so easy to work with and if anything, I was more concerned how you both were doing during the down time each time we had to set up a scene :) I look forward to working with you both in the near future

Jane, Casting Director & Stylist: Thank you for being able to get Darryl, Christine and our makeup artist Sharon at such a short notice haha! I love how on your end things go real well especially now that I don't have to be part of the process hehe

Angela, Assistant Director: Thank you for taking lead on creating the schedule and getting everyone on the same page. And of course for keeping all of us from getting "hangry" by having coffee/breakfast and lunch available for us :)

Sabrina, 2nd AC: Thank you for making post production easy by providing notes per scene and take!

Viktoria, Gaffer: Thank you for being one step ahead than all of us and working so smoothly with Lorenzo. You really made a big difference and can't wait to have you on board on another project.

Lorenzo, Director of Photography: Thank you for being available at short notice and for being well prepped. I didn't do my job exactly in informing you with all details but a big sigh of relief for sure to have you on board and even direct some of the scenes.

Marek: Thank you for trusting me to produce this product commercial and despite the small window frame, am glad that we were able to make it happen. Onto post production! :)

Thank you again for everyone involved and am looking forward to getting this one finished in post!

Cheers,
